We are hiring 1 team member for our small but mighty company.
Please be advised that this job is NOT ideal for those with fragrance, dust and heat/cold sensitivities. Operations occur in a warehouse environment with no temperature control.
This is a perfect job for you if: let’s say you LOVE making sure that things look just right, have an eye for detail and you move fast on your feet. You MUST be able to talk and walk, move between operating the heat sealer, weighing bags for accuracy, filling case boxes and back and forth without missing a beat or letting a bag slip through unsealed or looking ugly. You don’t shy away from picking cases, assembling and wrapping pallets. Does this sound like a job for you? MFG/PRODUCTION: (in accordance with USDA Organic Standards) using manual or semi-automatic equipment
- Pull bulk ingredients and stage for Production: scooping, mixing/blending, lot number tracking and recording
- Returning ingredients to main warehouse storage
- Filling bags, checking weight, heat sealing
- Visual inspection of finished products
- Count and pack items into master cases, seal, print and affix carton labels, transfer to staging/stacking for shipping
- End of Day clean up, keeping the production are clean, re-stocked and organized
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, scales, light machinery in busy/confined spaces
SHIPPING:
- Prepare wholesale and distributor orders for UPS and freight carriers (pick, check, pack and wrap pallets in accordance with Account requirements)
- Ability to safely operate a forklift, loading/unloading trucks in confined spaces
- Keep the shipping area clean, re-stocked and organized
REQUIREMENTS:
- Focus and attention to detail is a MUST!
- Be able to follow instructions, methods or techniques with minimal supervision.
- Embody an energetic personality, be friendly, purpose-driven and motivated.
- The ability to work efficiently and quickly between tasks.
- Excellent manual dexterity while performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to freely lift 50lbs for a short period. Can stand, reach, lift, kneel, climb, walk, push/pull, bend, twist, squat, and move for extended periods.
- Proficient understanding of written and spoken English.
- Mechanical aptitude helpful as not all things are done by hand.
- Reliable, dependable, and can consistently arrive on time for your shift
- Maintain personal cleanliness and hygiene.
- Vaccinated against COVID-19
DETAILS:
- Schedule: Mondays to Thursdays. 9am to 3:30pm; 3-day weekends!
- Hours per week: 24-32 per week. Additional hours may be required depending on order load and seasonality.
- Location: Onsite in Cotati, Sonoma County, CA
- Starting Pay: $17. Holiday Pay, Sick Pay, Work-Life Balance, Generous Employee Discounts on products
