TIPS FOR USE
Here’s what you need to do: Fling, scatter or sprinkle treats on the floor to encourage natural foraging, scratching, and pecking! These morsels are itty-bitties, so it's best to "treat" your little feathered friends with hand feed to engage in friendship and trust. Or when you have your chicks out on the floor (flat surface), so the Chick! Chick! treats don't get lost into the fluff of brooder bedding (shavings, etc). And your chicks will take care of the rest.
Here’s what you need to know: Treats for Chickens agrees that healthy chicken treats can be fed in moderation along with a complete chick feed. Treats should be no more than 10% of your flock’s diet which looks like a palm full of Chick! Chick!, per chick, per day. A little less in the Summer months and a tad more for the sake of useful heat generating calories during Winter months.
Is Chick! Chick! chick age appropriate? Of course! Start healthy eating habits at a young age.
General Pro-Chick Tip: be sure that baby chicks under two weeks of age always have access to grit so they can properly digest their food.
