Artisan Small Batch | Grain-Free | Woman Owned
Treats for Chickens’ grain-free chicken treat, Mealworm Delight®.
Here’s what you need to know: there’s a reason Treats for Chickens includes mealworm in a few of our signature formulas. First and foremost: chickens love ‘em. That makes them perfect for training your chickens to be the best birds they can be – or, at the very least, to respond when you call them. Second, they’re packed with protein and amino acids for beautiful plumage (also feather re-growth “molting hens’ helper”) and strong development. Naturally, when your chicken has enough protein in its diet, layers can produce eggs at their peak… and contribute to more nutritious eggs. Third, immunity booster due to nutrients such as amino acids, phosphorus, and crude fiber. No wonder mealworm is the OG of poultry treat and ingredient!
At Treats for Chickens, we created this healthy grain-free treat to be an eggceptional part of your feathered pet’s wellness.

Tips For Use
Fling, scatter or sprinkle treats on the ground to encourage natural foraging, scratching, and pecking! Or hand feed your feathered friends to engage in friendship and trust. Mealworm Delight has been known to teach chickens tricks, stimulate bonding + interaction, and even get the unruliest chickens back into the coop when it's time.
Here’s what you need to do: From the Treats for Chickens experience, healthy chicken treats can be fed in moderation along with a complete chicken feed. Treats should be no more than 10% of your flock’s diet which looks like a palm full of Mealworm Delight, per chicken, per day.
Is Mealworm Delight chick age appropriate? For the first couple of weeks, your chicks will need to start with chick mash or our Chick Chick. It’s essentially just a ground-up version of chick feed - it’s small so that it fits into their tiny little beaks!
General Pro-Chick Tip: be sure that baby chicks under two weeks of age always have access to grit so they can properly digest their food.
*Note: Currently, dried mealworms are a product of China.
Treats for Chickens products do not contain artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Our natural ingredients are safe for handling, so reach in and scoop out as needed.
